A memory card or flash drive is the most universal offline route. Format it FAT32 on the computer, copy the photos, insert it in the frame and import from the frame's photo settings. Phone photos are far larger than any Frameo screen, so sharpness is never the worry. What makes a slideshow look good is shape, format and a little choosing.
A 10.1-inch frame shows 1280x800 pixels, and the 15.6-inch and larger frames show 1920x1080. A typical 12-megapixel phone photo holds many times that detail, so the frame shows a crisp version of every normal snapshot. Very old, tiny web images are the only ones that look soft.
Shape matters more than size. Frameo frames are wide, so sideways photos fill the screen and upright ones show with bars at the sides unless the frame is turned upright. Frames with auto-rotate, which is nearly all of them, turn the picture the right way when the frame is turned, and the fill setting on the frame crops a photo to cover the screen.
Frameo sends photos only through its app, cards and cables; there is no emailing a picture to the frame. Families used to that route may prefer another frame, as Frameo against Skylight explains.
