Frameo frames come in five screen sizes: 8, 10.1, 15.6, 21.5 and 32 inches. Every one runs the same free Frameo app, so a photo sent from a phone lands the same way on the smallest bedside frame and the largest wall screen.
The spread of models is lopsided. Of the Frameo frames made today, 28 are 10.1 inches and 24 are 15.6 inches, while five are 21.5 inches, two are 32 inches and just one is 8 inches. The middle sizes offer the most makers and finishes; the smallest and largest have one or two good options each.
Shape changes with size too. The 8 and 10.1-inch screens are 16:10, a little taller than a television, while 15.6 inches and up are 16:9 Full HD panels. Frameo can fit or fill each photo, and most frames also turn upright so phone portraits use the whole screen.

Picture area and pixel density are worked out from each diagonal and resolution. Outer sizes are one maker's published dimensions and vary a little by brand. The last column is where normal eyesight stops seeing single pixels, a common rule of thumb; photos still look pleasant closer in.
Bigger is not automatically sharper. The 8 and 10.1-inch Frameo frames use 1280x800 screens, and everything from 15.6 inches up uses 1920x1080, so the same number of pixels is spread over a 15.6-inch and a 32-inch screen alike.

A common rule of thumb says normal eyesight stops seeing single pixels at roughly 3,400 divided by the pixel density, in inches. That puts the 10.1 and 15.6-inch frames at about two feet, the 21.5-inch at nearly three and the 32-inch at about four. Photos still look pleasant closer in; the fine grain simply becomes visible.
Phone photos are far larger than any of these screens, so every frame scales them down and the phone camera is never the limit. What decides the view is the screen and the seat it is watched from.

The two small Frameo sizes are for photos seen from a chair or a pillow. Arktronic's 8-inch frame measures about 8.7 by 6.1 inches overall, roughly a large greeting card, and is the smallest Frameo frame made. The 10.1-inch frames step up to around 10.5 by 7.2 inches.
